Oh My Feeling Festive

I'm sorrry! (hence the hearts)
I haven't been on here in over two weeks, I've finally got a job with a theatre in Watford so I've been very busy
BUT I was inspired by Glasto Festival this week to share some festive items of mine!
I had brought some black gloss wellies off eBay the other week, but felt that brown military boots would look better.

The brown poncho is from H&M which is currently on sale
The boots are from eBay at only £19.99 and the shorts (50p!) and vintage brown backpack which in the picture looks battered :| (£1.00) are from a carboot sale!
I found the sunglasses randomly in my house so there's no hope to tell you where they're actually from, sorry, but have a rummage through any thrift store and I'm sure you'll find something similar!

Don't you wish you went to Woodstock?

Jefferson Airplane, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Melanie and Joan Baez.
The hippie days!
I wore this outfit to Reading Festival last year, obviously not with bare feet; with wellies, but I thought it would be more festive with bare feet.
I'm often called a hippie or 'Mother Nature' as my friends call me, so I thought I'd show it off for you today!
The purple bohemian dress is originally from Primark but I bought it off eBay for a little over £4.00 I think! It's beautiful to wear in the summer because of the thin flowy material.. have a look on eBay for them!
I made the head band myself using a string of white flower material from the market and then sew yellow beads in the middle, then attached it to black elastic! Easy :)
I may not be wearing shoes in this picture but the dress could be worn with wedges/wellies/sandals..anything really.
Last of all the gold circle chain is from Topshop.
70's is in this summer so if your going to a festival definitely look for something bohemian and hippylike.

For Audrey

Hello Lovers!
As it was a nice evening I did some outside photos of my Audrey Hepburn inspired dress which is similar to her Breakfast At Tiffany's classic, however mine is a lot shorter!
These Audrey inspired dresses can often be found in vintage shops or they have costumes of them to be used for dress up!
The shoes are from Dorothy Perkins (29.99)
The damask printed dress is from a car boot sale for only 2.99 !
Suede black and gold bag is from a charity shop (1.99)
The bug-eyed glasses are from New Look (2.99/Sale!)
It took me a while to do the 60's updo! I basically just got chunks of hair, backcombed it from underneath and then pinned it all the way round.
Tell me what you think and hype! xxx

X Factor!

Well, fashion isn't the only thing I love.
Singing is also something that I have a passion for.
In March I auditioned for X Factor and got through, and then in April I got through again!
So now I'm just waiting for a phone call on there decision if I'm auditioning in July. But I thought I might show you what I wore to the auditions.. I was going for something quite cute and floaty!
Pink Peter Pan Dress; ASOS (£42 now down to £28!)
Leopard Print Wedges; H&M (7.99)
Cream and Black Holdall; Next (29.99)
I'll probably join the club and post some youtube videos of me singing.
Anyhow's I'll let you know how I get on!

5 Things In the Vintage Box

Once again, I'm in bed, ill. Which is my fault really for going out last night :|
BUT I've found some really good vintage finds for you guys which you might enjoy this weekend.
1. Wanting a 50's inspired swimsuit like Marilyn Monroe?
ASOS has them!, ah it's like being a special K girl.
2. If you're going to a festival this weekend (Download for example) then you should take a look at 'Rokit's recycled collection' which are individually handmade in the North London workshop using original vintage clothing and textiles. I've chosen some fringe T-shirt which would go perfectly with denim cut offs..
3. Well, as I was looking through Rokit I couldn't really stop. But I think if your going out in the evening this weekend you need something glamorous and there's nothing more glamorous than a sequin and beaded top like these two..
This 1920's inspired embellished top also goes with the Great Gatsby theme I had mentioned in a post earlier.
Then there's the 80's, I think this top is gorgeous but I suggest you only wear it with something simple!
4. Mary Janes! If your having to work this weekend or going out to lunch somewhere nice then Mary Janes are the way to go. These white Topshop heels are lovely and could be worn with just about anything..
5. And last of all, if your staying in this weekend or just going out for a casual high street shop then looking in H&M is the way to go!
There having a massive sale this weekend and this shift 60's style dress is beautiful!
And there we go! Hopefully I'll be able to take some more pictures tomorrow to show some more of my looks! Comment and follow. Hope this helped xxx

Movie Time #2

As I said I would, I have found 2 other looks which I think you might like.
First of all, 'Breakfast At Tiffany's', the most fashionably iconic and influential films ever made. The little black Givenchy dress worn by Hepburn in the beginning of the film may be the most famous items of clothing in history but there's another casual number which she wears in the film that I'm going to focus on.
It's when the lovely Audrey sings 'Moon river' on the balcony of her New York apartment..

As it happens, I have her exact outfit and for some reason a guitar too.
So, I've taken some pictures for you..
Light Grey Jumper! Carboot Sale £1
Shoes! ASOS £42
Jeans (not originally rolled up) H&M £9.99
Floral Vintage Scarf (worn over the head) Present from friend
The Guitar! Carboot Sale £5
This outfit can be easily gathered together; jumper, jeans, black shoes and a scarf.
Voila!
The last movie look is elegant, classy and could be worn for a prom or another formal event.
In the film 'Atonement', Miss Knightly wears a beautiful emerald green dress to dinner..
I was going to wear this to my prom last year but found a different dress but I have found an exact replica still being sold on eBay which can be seen here through this link..

I think it's absolutely gorgeous, so if you're wondering what to wear to prom this year have a look!xx

Movie Time

Not feeling too good today, SO I'm off school with antibiotics but that's not stopping me from giving you a post!
I was watching 'An Education' today with Carey Mulligan, and as she grows older her clothes become more sophisticated and glamorous; so if you share the same 60's obsession as me you might want to look at some of the dresses I've found that are similar to Miss Mulligan's!
The picture I've chosen is her in Paris wearing a shift/strap lilac knee length dress, so I went browsing through 'Rokit' and found some dresses you might like..
BUT, 'An Education' didn't stop me there.
Next stop, the 70's inspired film 'Almost Famous' and Kate Hudson's role as 'Penny Lane' who creates an iconic look for 70's fashion.
I've found some affordable garments which are similar to Hudson's outfit..
(only one left so get your hands on it!)
With a choice of blue or maroon!
Although, I think the gypsy top could also look pretty with cut off denim shorts.
Now going back from the 60's and 70's is another iconic fashion film, 'The Great Gatsby' which is set in the 1920's. I've chosen Daisy's outfits to give you some inspiration!
Daisy is all about wearing 'white' and being delicate and beautiful SO I've picked out a beautiful white flapper dress and white hat which can be worn together or separately whether it's a party of garden gathering..
